There is grace for everyone to re-examine their ways and make amendments, but only God knows the measure and time when a man’s grace would expire.
I must never think I am the only one on earth who can do what God has given me the privilege to do.
When a man wastes the grace and timing of God upon his life, he becomes irrelevant and would be replaced by another man better than himself. By design every man has been equipped with the
weapons and ability to fulfil a divine agenda in his lifetime, but with God there will always be provision for better replacements and alternatives.
It is only an honour to be called and made the way I am; and it is wisdom to accept and fulfil my purpose.
God can never be stranded, though it surely hurts Him when men in whom He has invested over time choose to fail Him. Ezekiel 28: 12-19; Isaiah 14: 12-15; Revelation 12: 7-9
From the beginning, God has always made a second alternative to fulfil his mandate on earth whenever the first chosen vessel failed.
It all began before the creation of man in heaven: the former arch angel called Lucifer was created and endowed with glory; he led the choir of heaven and had the mandate of bringing praise and glory to God. Such a great influence had he in heaven that when he was thrown down from heaven, he convinced and took along one-third of the angelic host of heaven.
God had placed him at a position where even the angels created by God could believe and choose to be thrown down with him-he had such power, though he is not God.
But it appears God is not bothered by the seeming loss that He could suffer when He has to replace a useless and failed project in His hands. Lucifer was lost to pride and had to be discarded so that the purpose of God will not be defeated. Though it looks delayed, God lives in eternity and works out every delay to His plan for good. Genesis 1: 26-30; 3:8.
In the beginning God created Adam to have fellowship with Him, have dominion over the earth and the fallen Lucifer with his agents, and perpetuate the eternal kingship of God all over the universe.
Everything Adam needed was put in him, around him and within his reach. He enjoyed the company and friendship of God at a close range; he had the strength of a man; he had common sense and divine wisdom to deal with every issue and even name all the animals; he had a mind that could understand the nature of plants and animals, for he took care of them; and he was given a woman to help meet his biological and psychological needs.
He was to lay the foundation for man’s eternal victory over the devil, but he failed and disappointed divine purpose even in the midst of all he was equipped with. Again God provided a better substitute in His own Son- Christ, who came to restore man to his God-given position of authority and power (Romans 5:12-21). He (Christ) became the second Adam since the original man created for this assignment became irrelevant to the purpose of God for his life and the entire human race.
