*** WELCOME TO STRAIGHT TALK FOR MEN.***
I have heard this saying lots of times, that
a man’s beauty is in his pocket and that a man can never be ugly. Okay, I just want to ask,
Where is a woman’s beauty? In her curves, her face or her character?
Nsi-efi, sorry I meant to write
I have seen many guys complain that women are not responding to their advances and the first thing I do is to look at the guy and think in my heart,
If I’m a lady, would I accept this guy? (Sorry, the answer is not always No).
There wouldn’t be a problem in an age where women fold their hands and wait for a man to come whisk them away and provide a source of living for them. But in these times where women are doing great things in the corporate world, I wonder if a man who is just beautiful in the pocket appeal to all ladies.
I know that there are slay queens who are good for nothing and want a complete package in a man while they offer just their bodies as
a living sacrifice. I am not giving them the edge here, I am talking of those who strive and make a difference in their lives. Do you think that they will be willing to settle for the just rich pocket people?
There is something that turns me off in ladies, actually there are lots of things and I won’t be saying all here but there is this one I want to highlight here, not that it is at the top of the list, it is a woman who has unkempt finger nails, nails which have noticeable black zones of dirt inside and then worsens the case by biting them. Are you for real? That one I can’t bear ooo.
Now I know some ladies are like that, having their own preferences but what makes me sad is that many guys don’t just care.
For us, as long as the money is coming in, we are not bothered, the armpit zone of your shirts can be stained, the collar can be dead to freshness, the mouth can be reeking of whatever it is the microbes combined to bring out, the belt holders can be distorted, the nails can be horrible, as long as the pocket is full, you are very handsome,
Maybe to the slay queens who just want the money, your pocket is enough and your mouth odour doesn’t count as long as they’re cruising in the Range Rover Sport. They are just looking for shrines to offer their bodies and you are lucky.
But you see those virtuous ones, they look beyond the money. They too are interested in the little details.
Now look at the list, (I agree many ladies get their priorities wrong though)
- Money, yes…
- Character, check,
- Looks, double check, again I say:
- Looks, double check.
I have seen ladies insult others for the looks of their bobos( I don’t mean bobo the children drink, I mean Bobo, as in dear guys).
By look, I don’t mean enhancements and unnecessary tweaking that some dudes crave after;
I mean packaging, putting interest in the little details people often overlook (personal hygiene, comportment etc).
I agree people package at different levels based on their means and natural endowments.
I have also seen ladies not proud to post their bobos on Facebook; you’ll see wedding pictures of brides and wonder whether they married themselves. I hope I’m not raising dusts here, forgive me.
I am not saying you get the looks over every other thing, truth is, it should be lower than Character and definitely money in the scale of preference, but then, it shouldn’t be relegated to the second division.
It should be treated well too.
Don’t pick a well-kept lady and then yoke her with the unkempt only-handsome in the pocket body. That, my friends is “Unequal yoking” and even the bible frowns at that, lol.
Now, In case I haven’t made sense, please educate me, I just want to learn. All I clamour for is that what is good for the goose is also good for the gander. The gander too should dress up.
Character, packaging(in the very little details) and enough money to take certain responsibilities; these make a man.
Straight talk for men returns next week, please stay tuned and help spread the message.
